... aka his desk and recording area.
Nothing else quite like a desk surrounded by Seven Speakers and Six-Hundred-and-Fifty Watts of amps.
I liked the top half of my old desk, but the lower shelves sucked.... I took the top half off and set it on another table I had.
The PC is hooked to the normal firewall/router stuff and then the audio portion is plugged into my powered mixer with the effects/compressor/guitar preamps/ and CD+G player.
Electro monkey and a handful of figures are there now... once I finish my figure inventory and my shelves, I'll probably change a few.
Here's the rack where I keep my current guitars... there's a few more back behind the speaker, but they're waiting "Baimunization".
Gotta run.... I have to put the rest of my CDs and Books away now...

also, i added you on my MSN with my newer e-mail. not sure if you're ever on there anymore of if i have the right e-mail address, but...yeah.
Last night I added the keyboard on a stand in front of the 18" subwoofer on the left....
...only problem is the cat likes to sit on that speaker.... and then walk on the keyboard.

Cool, Baimun. Man, that's a lot of CPU action going on there.
My daughter writes and records a lot of music. (if you saw the pics I posted there's a microphone to the left.) We've been trying to get her set-up so she can start recording again. She needs a pre amp to interface the mic with the computer. $140 bucks for a stupid little box! Haven't gotten around to that yet!
Neat!! Need someone to braid your computer cables?
I tihnk there are no other words than...
holy fucking shit!
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Most sound cards have a mic and/or stereo input. Your best bet might be something like a Behringer VX2000. It will compress the vocals (keeps levels consistant), filter out hard "esses", eq, and uses a preamp tube for warm recording (often digital recording can sound stiff or cold).Originally posted by madadman:

That's the next piece of gear I'll probably pick up... right now I'm using an Alesis 3630 compressor.
WOW...I bet internet porn never sounded so good....
The recommendation I got was to look for one of these:
It's called a "Moblie Pre" from a company called M-Audio. It connects into the USB port, then you can connect up to two instruments into the box. I think you can daisy-chain these together to ad more instruments. I'm an idiot about this stuff. Have you ever heard of it?
